Band & Orchestra 2021-22 Merchandise Design Competition


Calling all FCA Frisco musicians and artists!

Yes, it’s time for our Band and Orchestra 2021-22 merchandise design competition! We want to stand out from the crowd with creative designs and once again, we want you, our students to create those designs! The winning designs for band and orchestra will be incorporated into all our FCAF 2021-22 school year band and orchestra merchandise, including t-shirts, sweatshirts, yard signs and car stickers!

We will select winning designs for band and orchestra from each grade 5th through 10th and they will each receive a prize. Our overall band and orchestra competition winning design creators will each receive 2 free t-shirts and a Chick-Fil-A or Raising Cane’s gift package (you get to choose!). Dairy Queen are sponsoring our competition too so EVERY student who enters a design into the competition will receive coupons for free DQ sundaes!

Competition Guidelines for Students:

All current FCA 5th through 10th grade students can enter the competition. Each student is allowed to enter one design for either band or orchestra.

Designs must be all your own work, no third party or copyrighted materials but we are allowing the use of digital technology to create your designs this year.

You can use up to 5 different colors for your design. Why not more? Because the more colors we incorporate the more expensive the designs will be to print! We will add the FCAF Griffin and the wording FCAF 2021-22 to the merchandise so you do not need to incorporate this wording or a Griffin image into your design.

Designs must be created on solid white plain paper. The maximum image size for your design is 11 inches in width and 15 inches in depth (your design can be smaller but not larger). You can use any medium to create your design - paint, markers, or whatever materials you wish. But make sure the colors are clear and bold as to recreate your designs on our merchandise the images must be very clear - the bolder the better!

Entry submissions and any questions you have about the competition should be emailed to janesleeth@yahoo.com. Please send a high resolution image of your design and provide your name, age and grade in the email. Note: do NOT write this information on the front or back of your design! Closing date for entries is Friday, April 23rd.

Our esteemed judges will be Mr. Peart and Mr. Sprouls. Winning entries will be announced at the beginning of May.
